My stay at Villa Mahabhirom was simply magical. The hotel is a beautiful blend of art and culture, featuring exquisite sculptures and antique Thai houses. The service was exceptionally attentive, making me feel truly valued. However, the proximity to the airport sometimes meant hearing flights, and the restaurant could offer more variety in the menu. Overall, this place is a hidden gem in Chiang Mai! ✨

The villa I stayed in was a stunning blend of history and comfort, featuring separated living spaces that felt luxurious. Though the lighting could be a bit harsh, the overall aesthetic was beautiful.
Service
10.0
The front-desk staff—especially Eye, Driver, and Yaya—truly made me feel like family with their amazing attentiveness. Panit at the bar was also a gem, serving delicious drinks and sharing fun Thai phrases.
Location

Nestled a bit outside of the city, the location offered a tranquil retreat. While I could hear the planes occasionally, the peaceful atmosphere more than made up for it.
Dining
7.0
Dining at the hotel was a mixed bag. The meals I had were beautifully prepared, but I wished for a bit more variety, especially in breakfast offerings.
Facilities
9.0
The facilities were great, including a well-kept pool and garden areas that were perfect for relaxation. The happy hour was a good touch too.

My stay at Villa Mahabhirom was a blend of enchanting aesthetics and really good service. The beauty of the old Thai houses and lush gardens is nice, making it feel like a living museum. However, the noise from the nearby airport significantly detracted from the experience, as planes frequently flew overhead. Overall, the amazing friendliness of the staff and quality dining options made a lasting impression, despite the noise issues. 🌺✈️

Rooms

The unique design of the old Thai houses added charm, but the dark interiors due to limited windows were a bit uncomfortable. Luckily, the room had wooden shutters for better darkness at night.
Service
10.0
The service was excellent, with the staff always friendly and accommodating. They quickly responded to my needs and provided valuable assistance in planning activities during my stay.
Location
6.0
While the beauty of the hotel is undeniable, the location near the airport made for a noisy stay due to frequent flights overhead. It’s also a bit far from the city center, necessitating taxis.
Dining
9.0
Dining at the villa was a highlight! The quality of the food was excellent, with a good variety of Asian dishes that were both flavorful and beautifully presented.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area was lovely but not ideal for lounging as it doubled as a dining space. I wished for more comfortable seating around the pool to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Villa Mahabhirom is a visually stunning hotel, showcasing antique wooden Thai houses in a lush garden setting. However, the noise from airplanes taking off and landing was a significant downside to my stay. While the interior design is charming and the amenities modern, the proximity to the airport made restful sleep challenging at times.

Rooms
7.0
My room was beautifully decorated in traditional Thai style with modern amenities, though I could hear significant noise outside. After a restless first night, I was upgraded to a quieter room that allowed for better sleep, which I appreciated.
Service
10.0
The staff were incredibly helpful and kind throughout my stay, addressing my concerns promptly and even arranging my scooter rental quickly. They truly made an effort to ensure I felt at home.
Location
6.0
The hotel’s location near the airport provided lush gardens and a beautiful setting, but I found the traffic noise from planes quite distracting. It's not very close to the old city, so taxis are needed for sightseeing.
Dining
8.0
Dining at the hotel was enjoyable, especially with a varied selection of Asian dishes served in a lovely poolside setting. Breakfast was good, although the wait for some items was longer than expected.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were well-maintained and included a amazing pool surrounded by the gardens. However, the pool area could be better adapted for relaxation with more comfortable lounging options.

My experience at Villa Mahabhirom was a mix of highs and lows. The beautiful architecture and artful ambiance were stunning and truly cultured, but I faced challenges with cleanliness and noise levels during my stay. Although the staff were incredibly warm and helpful, I expected the amenities to uphold a higher standard for the price I paid.

Rooms
6.0
I stayed in the 1 Bedroom Villa with a Private Pool, which was even more lovely than the pictures (truly felt like royalty!). However, I noticed the layout wasn't very practical, with separate areas for the living room, bedroom, and bath space. Also, the water in the shower took a long time to warm up, and there were some maintenance issues I had to deal with.
Service
9.0
The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to assist me, even providing an early check-in which was fantastic (big thumbs up!). They truly made me feel welcome and catered to my needs throughout my stay.
Location
7.0
The location was a bit out of the way from the old city, which is good if you prefer quiet surroundings, but it meant I had to rely on taxis to get around (around 300 baht to town). The hotel is close to the airport, so there was noticeable airplane noise, but it didn't bother me much.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was good! I enjoyed delicious Asian dishes by the pool, and breakfast was also quite good (especially the banana waffle!). Prices were reasonable for a 5-star hotel, even if the wine was pricey due to import taxes.
Facilities
7.0
The overall facilities were nice, featuring a lovely pool area. However, I found that there weren't many lounging spots around the pool that felt welcoming (it looked beautiful, but the atmosphere could have been better for relaxation).

My stay at Villa Mahabhirom was a beautiful experience enhanced by stunning architecture and really good service, though I did face some challenges with noise and the dining experience. The private villa felt luxurious, but I found the lighting quite harsh and breakfast service needed improvement. Overall, it was a unique retreat that I'll remember fondly.

Rooms
8.0
I stayed in a stunning two-bedroom villa with a private pool. The design pays homage to traditional Thai architecture, which was absolutely gorgeous. However, the rooms were a bit dark due to few windows and the harsh lighting felt unwelcoming at times.
Service
9.0
The staff was incredibly attentive, always greeting me with warm smiles and eager to assist with any requests (a special shout-out to Natthaphong!). Their hospitality truly elevated my stay, despite a few miscommunications in service.
Location
7.0
The villa is conveniently located near the airport, which was a plus for my travel plans. However, it does mean dealing with some noise from airplanes overhead, as well as nearby traffic (not ideal for a quiet retreat).
Dining
7.0
While I enjoyed the delicious meals—especially the private dinner of the best Thai food I had during my travels—there were issues with breakfast service that needed more attention. It was sometimes a long wait for my coffee and the fruit selection could be better.
Facilities
6.0
The pool area was stunningly beautiful, yet it felt more like a restaurant setup than a relaxing escape. I believe the space could benefit from more shaded areas or additional loungers for guests looking to unwind by the pool.
